Chad: Over 60 killed, 300 injured as security forces open fire protesters

Over 60 persons have been killed, while not less 300 were injured after security forces opened fire on civilians holding protests to demand for a quicker transition to democratic rule in Chad.

Chadian security forces opened fire on anti-government demonstrators, according to a report by Zagazola Makama, a counter insurgency expert.

The unarmed civilians were massacred as security forces brutally cracked down on demonstrators in the capital, N’Djamena, and several other cities.
