Daniel Okoh, president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari and security agencies following the release of the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.
The WITNESS had previously reported the release of the remaining 23 Abuja-Kaduna train passengers who were in captivity.
Commending Buhari, and others, CAN President said the development shows how prepared the Federal Government is to address the various security issues facing the country.
“The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is truly delighted and satisfied with the safe release of the remaining 23 kidnapped train passengers held in captivity by Boko Haram terrorists,” CAN’s statement partly read.
“We commend President Muhammadu Buhari for this development which signposts the efforts of the Federal Government at combating our common enemy as a nation – insecurity.
“CAN also laud the military and all other security and intelligence agencies for the successful conduct of the operation which led to the release of the hostages. They have shown outstanding capabilities in recent times and the whole world will not fail to take note of their good efforts,” it added.
