Tajudeen Abbas, a member representing Zaria federal constituency, has emerged speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.
The outgoing Majority Leader of the House, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, nominated Abbas for speaker.
Nnolim Nnaji seconded the motion.
Abbas, the choice candidate of the All Progressives Congress, was elected by voice vote during the inauguration of the Assembly on Tuesday.
Godswill Akpabio, former governor of Akwa Ibom the, was earlier elected senate president.
