Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have risen to 131 in Nigeria as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced 20 new cases on Monday.
Of the 20 new cases, 13 were recorded in Lagos State, four in Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), two in Kaduna and one in Oyo, THE WITNESS reports.
Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, earlier announced that he tested positive for the virus.
The NCDC tweeted, “Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 13 in Lagos, four in FCT, two in Kaduna and one in Oyo State.
“As of 09:00 pm on March 30, there are 131 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with two deaths.”
