Army denies Boko Haram attack, abduction of 22 women in Pulka

The Nigerian Army has discredited reports of an attack by Boko Haram terrorists in Pulka, a village in Borno State, northeastern Nigeria.

Theere have been media reports that Boko Haram terrorists attacked Pulka and abducted 22 women, attributing it to an unidentified Bulama as source.

According to a release signed by Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman, the report is false

“We wish state that the report is completely false and should be ignored,” Usman wrote

He further added that “for the avoidance of doubt, Pulka and its environs is heavily fortified and there has not been any security breach in the area. Media houses are please requested to always cross check their facts before publishing or broadcasting.”

Pulka was one of the towns in Gwoza local government, Borno State, recaptured in 2015.
