Apology/Retraction of our report over corrupt allegations and purported sack of Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, SSA to the President on SDGS

Our attention has been drawn to a report published in our online edition of 21st May, 2021, with the headline: “Presidency set to sack SDGs boss, Orelope-Adefulire over corruption allegations”.

In the report, it was alleged that the Presidency through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) has queried and recommended the removal of Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, the senior special assistant to the president on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), over corruption allegations.

We have since discovered these parts of the report to be untrue and we realise our error as our reporter was misinformed.

We apologize for any embarrassment the error might have caused Mrs. Orelope-Adefulire, friends and family.
