Servant of God at INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will defeat the incumbent president, Muhammad Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the presidential election of Saturday, February 23, 2019 if the process is free and fair.
Ayodele made this declaration last Thursday during his annual birthday activities tagged ‘Moments of Appreciation’. February 14 is the cleric’s day and the celebration spans a week when he uses the opportunity to care for the poor and empower women, men, youth, widows, widowers, including paying visits to hospitals and government institutions where he assists spiritually and donates financially and materially.
“If this election is made free and fair, I give it to Atiku,” he says, adding that he saw APC looking for ways to rig it for itself.
“Now, the PDP people are listening to God’s warning. They are doing what God instructed them to do and they are matching the APC bumper to bumper.
If the party keeps this momentum, I see victory,” declares the prophet who says that physically and spiritually, Nigerians are tired of the APC governments at all levels.
Primate Ayodele, however, warned that if President Buhari fails to heed God’s warning and proceed to impose himself on Nigeria, he does not see him finishing the second term in good health.
“I don’t see him completing his term if he gives himself victory in this election. Buhari is too weak to continue. I don’t see him having good health; I don’t see anything coming out of it. Let the APC government leave power honourably.”
The 2019 edition of the event was characterized by series of charity activities. The Shepherd in charge of the Celestial Church of Christ (Genesis Parish), Prophet Israel Oladele, was guest minister.
Prophet Oladele, apart from being honoured by Primate Ayodele with a gigantic picture frame of him (Oladele), he also had the honour to present award plaques to honorees which include star music and movie artistes like Ojoge; Dejo Tunfulu; Fuji music veteran, Yoboro Yobonson; Juju music star, Mega ’99 and various other personalities and INRI church members who were empowered with cash gifts, tricycles, sewing machines and other items.
Primate Ayodele also had a word for the APC government on the TraderMoni initiative. “They are not doing anything new. I have been doing this type of empowerment in my own capacity for many years. Without being immodest, I can say I do it better than the government. It is good but this government is doing last what they ought to put first.”
According to Ayodele, “if the APC government had done this when they came to power, Nigerians would not have cause to be angry at them when they need another term.”
Celebrity broadcaster/MC, Soji Omotayo, compered the event.
