Delta: Isoko political group endorses Emmanuel Uduaghan for senate

– As Ex-Governor learning materials to school

 

For what they described as his giant strike in Isoko nation during his administration as governor of Delta state, the Isoko Political Revolutionary Force, (IPRF), a political pressure group of Isoko ethnic nationality, Delta South senatorial district, Delta State, has adopted a former Governor of the State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, as its senatorial candidate for the 2019.

The group in a statement signed by its National Leader, Austine Ejabulor, and Director of Mobilization, Benson Itomor, made available to our correspondent, said “In conformity with the agreed rotational formula, Itsekiri ethnic nationality should produce the next Senator in Delta South senatorial district and we adopt the candidacy of Dr. Emmanuel Uduahan as our senatorial candidate come 2019.”

“We, the members of IPRF have had the delightful opportunity of consulting with leaders and women leaders at various levels in our communities. Such consultations have taken us to every ward of Isoko North and Isoko South in the past few weeks. The tour also afforded us the opportunity of seeing the realities on ground in each ward visited. Dr. Uduaghan is the top candidate for the senatorial district and he is trusted and trustworthy.

According to the group, “He is the most respected of all the candidates, he is a planner and strategist, he is development-oriented and that is what Delta South senatorial district wants, besides that he cares for the downtrodden,” the group asserted.

MEANWHILE, Uduaghan has admonished students to shun social vices such as cultism and drugs that are capable of ruining their educational careers and futures.

Mr. Uduaghan who gave the admonition Thursday when he paid an unscheduled visit to Umuegbe model primary school and Alema model secondary school, both in Abigborodo, Warri North local government area of the state promised to provide the pupils school uniforms as well as other learning materials to aide the children’s learning.

The former governor who was accompanied on the visit by immediate past Commissioners for Transport, Power and Energy, Mr. Ben Igbakpa, and Mr. Charles Emetulu, a former Warri North council chairmen, Mr. Francis Maku, and Mr. Aduge Okorodudu, past and present members of the legislative arm of Warri North and past and present government officials, charged to the pupils to take their education more seriously as the facility they occupied is a world class one and conducive enough for proper academic activities.

The headmistress of Umuegbe model primary school who had earlier highlighted some of the challenges been faced by the school to include pupils inability to afford the school uniforms and other learning materials, was told by the former governor to come up with an estimate so as to make the funds available for the purchase of brand new school uniforms for all the pupils in the school.

At the Alema model secondary school, Abigborodo former governor Uduaghan expressed delight that, parents from across the country have their wards schooling at the model secondary school following its world class facility on ground coupled with the level and standard the school principal had taken the school, saying that if this is sustained the sky would be their limit.

Uduaghan, however cautioned the students to shun any form of social vices that could ruined their future and educational careers even as he promised to assist the students who are ready to make the school, their parents and themselves proud.
