The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the original result slips for candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement issued by Fabian Benjamin, the board’s spokesperson, JAMB said candidates can begin printing the document from Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

According to the examination body, the original result slip contains important details, including the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features required by tertiary institutions during admission screening and verification processes.

The board explained that the document forms a key part of the admission requirements for universities, polytechnics and other higher institutions across the country.

Candidates were urged to carefully review the information on their result slips immediately after printing to ensure accuracy and avoid complications during the admission process.

JAMB also advised candidates to keep multiple copies of the document, as it will be needed during post-UTME registration, screening exercises and other admission-related procedures for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The release of the result slips comes as tertiary institutions prepare to commence admission activities for the new academic session.

Earlier, JAMB and heads of tertiary institutions agreed on timelines for concluding admissions. Under the arrangement, public universities are expected to complete their admission processes by October 31, 2026, while private universities have until November 30, 2026. Other tertiary institutions are expected to conclude admissions on or before December 31, 2026.

The board had also warned that institutions failing to complete admissions within the approved period risk losing access to candidates through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

In addition, JAMB said candidates offered admission will be given a four-week window to either accept or reject the offer, after which unaccepted admissions may be withdrawn at the request of the admitting institution.
