Jubril Dauda, a 28-year-old man has been arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ court in Ibadan over alleged unlawful possession of a motorcycle.

Dauda, whose residential address was not disclosed, was brought before the court on a one-count charge bordering on unlawful possession. He pleaded not guilty.

ASP Femi Omilana, the prosecutor told the court that the alleged offence occurred on February 13 at about 8:00 p.m. in the Bodija area of Ibadan.

He said the defendant was found in possession of a TVS motorcycle but could not provide a satisfactory account of how he came by it.

According to the prosecution, the offence contravenes Section 417(d) of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.

Adebola Adeola, presiding magistrate granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like amount.

The case was adjourned until June 18 for hearing.
