Governor Caleb Mutfwang, governor of Plateau State has sacked six of his appointees and suspended one.

The decision was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau.

According to Jatau, the move is part of efforts to reposition the state for improved efficiency and better service delivery.

Those affected by the sack include Timothy Golu, special adviser on strategic communication; Fom Gwottson; Nanbol Rimvyat; Nannim Langyi; Paul Datugum; and Nimchat Rims.

The governor also suspended Johnbull Shekarau, chairman of the state House of Assembly Service Commission, over alleged conduct said to be inconsistent with the standards of his office.

The SSG did not provide specific reasons for the sack but directed the affected officials to hand over all government property in their possession.

He added that the governor appreciated their service and wished them well in their future endeavours.
