President Bola Tinubu has returned to the country after completing a state visit to the Republic of Turkey.

The Airbus A330 conveying the president arrived at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday.

The presidency confirmed Tinubu’s arrival in a brief notice issued to State House correspondents on Saturday evening.

The visit, which began on Tuesday, featured bilateral talks between Tinubu and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, president of Turkey.

Tinubu also witnessed the signing of nine agreements covering defence, energy, security, research, and other strategic areas.

Both leaders discussed shared priorities aimed at deepening cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye across sectors of mutual interest.

The delegation included Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, minister of foreign affairs, Lateef Fagbemi, attorney-general and minister of justice, Christopher Musa, minister of defence, and Nuhu Ribadu, national security adviser.
