Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has lifted the suspension of 85 Commissioners, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Permanent Secretaries.
The governor had earlier suspended the officials without pay on July 28, 2025, for failing to attend a state function.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, the suspended officials were directed to resume their official duties immediately.
The suspension affected 25 Commissioners, 14 Senior Special Assistants, 24 Special Assistants, and 22 Permanent Secretaries.
The suspension was initially announced to last one month without pay, during which the affected officials were instructed not to sign any official documents.
