Alhaji Aliko Dangote, billionaire entrepreneur, has officially announced his retirement from Dangote Cement, while naming his successor.
Dangote’s retirement was confirmed in a report by online news media outlet, The Eagle Online on Friday.
Dangote, prior to his retirement from the cement arm of his multisectoral businesses, had served on the board of the company as the Chairman.
According to the Eagle Online, Dangote has named his successor, reported to be
Emmanuel Ikazoboh.
Dangote had said in June 2025 that he would step down from the cement sector of his mega business empire.
“Sundry media reports had said that Dangote officially retired as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dangote Sugar Refinery PLC as widely reported on June 12, 2025,” the report read.
