Donatus Aondona Mkor , the suspended special adviser to the Benue State Governor on Documentation, Research, and Planning, has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before the Federal High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, over allegations of sextortion and cyberbullying.
Mkor was brought before the court on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, following his arrest by operatives of the EFCC on June 20, 2025.
During Wednesday’s court session, the prosecution submitted evidence gathered during the investigation, including electronic devices allegedly used to store explicit videos and threatening messages.
The charges stem from a series of petitions by female students who accused Aondona of exploiting his official position to solicit sexual favours in exchange for job opportunities, and of using explicit videos—allegedly recorded without consent—for blackmail.
According to the petition, Mkor allegedly targeted “slim and attractive” young women, luring them with promises of ushering jobs. However, he reportedly made sexual favours a condition for selection.
“He would say, ‘If you refuse, I’ll leak the videos,’” one of the petitioners told EFCC investigators.
Beyond the alleged blackmail, Aondona is also accused of distributing the non-consensual recordings through multiple digital channels, further violating the victims’ rights and dignity.
“Some of the videos are already in circulation,” they said, raising serious concerns about their safety and privacy.
