Chioma Uzodimma, the First Lady of Imo State has said that the legacy of Muhammadu Buhari, the late President will forever remain in the hearts of Nigerians.
Uzodimma said this in a post she shared on her official X account on Thursday night following her visit to the Buhari family in Daura, Katsina State on Wednesday.
“In these moments of grief, I joined my sister First Ladies yesterday (Wednesday) along with Aisha Matawalle, the wife of the Minister of State for Defence and Rashida Bello, the former First Lady of Kogi State on a condolence visit to Dr. Aisha Buhari, the former First Lady of Nigeria following the passing of her husband, the late President Muhammadu Buhari who was laid to rest a few days ago,” Uzodimma wrote.
“President Buhari’s legacy of integrity, selfless service, and dedication to Nigeria’s progress will forever remain in our hearts.”
“As we continue to mourn this great loss to our nation, we stand united in our resolve to honour his memory by committing ourselves to the ongoing work of building a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace and may God Almighty grant his family, the people of Daura and all Nigerians the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
Buhari died in a London hospital on Sunday, July 13, 2025 and was buried in Daura, Katsina State on Tuesday, July 15.
