Ibom Air has announced resumption of its flight operations to Enugu, following the reopening of Akanu Ibiam International Airport.

The airline had temporarily suspended flight operations to the state over safety concerns of the airport’s runway.

In a statement released Wednesday in Lagos, the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, confirmed that the airport’s runway has been repaired and now fully operational.

“We are pleased to inform you that following the completion of emergency runway repairs at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, and the reopening of the airport by the Federal Government, Air Peace will resume scheduled flights into Enugu from Lagos and Abuja effective Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

“We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during the period of disruption and look forward to welcoming you back on board as we continue to connect you safely to your destinations,” he said.
