Former presidential media aide Reno Omokri has narrated how Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the suspended senator representing Kogi Central in the Nigerian senate falsely accused him of sexual harassment, begged him, and paid him heavily for damages.
Omokri further challenged Natasha to undergo a lie detector test following her recent allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
In a detailed video posted on social media, Omokri recalled an incident from 2021 when Akpoti-Uduaghan accused him of sexually harassing her after a dispute. She claimed that during a state banquet at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in May 2014, where President Goodluck Jonathan hosted the Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, Omokri had harassed her.
However, Omokri said he quickly disproved the accusation by providing evidence that he was not even in Nigeria at the time.
“I have been sent on an official mission to the United States, leaving the country in April and returning only at the end of May. To clear my name, I posted his passport stamps and a British Airways flight ticket showing his departure from Nigeria and arrival in the United States.
“Obviously, Natasha Akpoti lied,” Omokri said in the video. He recalled, “After newspapers published my evidence, Natasha deleted all traces of her accusation. She deleted everything. She had made a video insulting me, my wife, and my newborn daughter. She also deleted that.”
“The next day, I received a phone call from a prominent Christian clergyman. As a fellow pastor, they believed I would listen to a senior member of the body of Christ. He called me on a three-way call with Emmanuel Oritshejolomi Uduaghan, Natasha Akpoti’s present husband. They appealed to me, quoting scriptural references about Christians taking each other to court, and I listened to them. We settled the matter out of court. I was paid a large amount of money as damages, and I let the matter go.”
Now, with Akpoti-Uduaghan accusing Senate President Akpabio of sexual harassment, Omokri has called for her to take a lie detector test to prove her credibility. He pointed out that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, and based on her track record of false accusations, she should be compelled to undergo the test.
“Until she takes a lie detector test, the presumption is that she is acting on her past behavior,” Omokri concluded.
