The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reiterated that all permanent voter cards (PVCs) issued by it have not expiry date.
The commission which said this in a public notice on Tuesday, emphasized that PVCs holders are eligible to vote in any election organised by it.
“All Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) issued by INEC do not have an expiry date,” the commission said in the notice.
“Therefore, all registered Voters with PVCs (issued by INEC) can vote in all elections organised by the Commission, including the 2023 General Election.”
Recall that former Lagos State governor and presidential hopeful, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had stirred controversy weeks ago when he told his supporters that their PVCs had expired and that they needed to get new ones to be able to vote.
He has, however, since disowned the remark.
