Medical doctors in Lagos has called off the three-day warning strike which began on Monday.
This is coming a day after the state government urged them to resume duty.
The doctors went on the industrial action over wage disparity between doctors in the federal and state staff, non-payment of hazard allowance, disengagement of doctors at the isolation centres and two months salary arrears.
However, on Wednesday, the Chairman, Medical Guild, Dr Oluwajimin Sodipo, said the association decided to suspend the strike to allow further engagement with the state government concerning their demands.
The doctors also agreed to resume work at their respective duty posts in various hospitals in the state effective Thursday.
