Ex-Abia Gov. Orji Kalu social media show of shame

Published

on

Eventually, like all man-made deities, Orji Uzor Kalu stopped resembling a ‘god’ or something like one; he is losing worth like the last fading smile of a cosmic Cheshire cat.

Yes, the rich take their pleasures sadly, after the fashion of whatever seems to be trendy. Hence it is not in habit but in novelty and the clichéd that many a billionaire often pursues and acquires vainglory and pleasure.

But what manner of vaingloriousness would drive Orji Kalu to engage in a subtle yet aggressive jostle with billionaire oil magnate, Femi Otedola, for the limelight? What shade and colouration of vanity would drive him to engage in intense competition with Otedola and Tony Elumelu for social correctness and youth appeal?

Perhaps the type that drives the proverbial old woman to channel and relive the pleasure of youth and her famished beauty in grandiose and evanescent dreams. As you read, Orji is engaged in a feral and frantic hustle to outdo the trio of Otedola, Dangote and Elumelu in the now fashionable quest for the juiciest portion of the spotlight.

Yes, weeks after a video of the Chairman of Forte Oil, Femi Otedola, taking a bus trip in the city of London went viral online, former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has equally toed the same path by uploading a short video on Instagram showing him in a London public bus .

In what looked like a scripted shot, Kalu was seen to be chatting with a guy he named Chika, whom he asked that his followers should tag if they knew him. Unlike Otedola’s video, Kalu posted a video with a muted sound. While Otedola explained that he took the bus on his way to see his former teacher at Wandsworth in London; Kalu did not also say why he embarked on his journey that appeared to be an act of playing to the gallery.

Less than an hour after Otedola, who is notable for his simplicity, uploaded his video, the blogosphere went agog, as it attracts wide coverage from blogs and attendant commentaries that run for days. In Kalu’s case, he has only been able to attract 122 views more than 24 hours after uploading.

One wonders what Kalu’s intention was with his copycat exercise. Now that Kalu has found a mentor in the business mogul, Otedola, are we to expect him to follow up with another video in the same fashion Otedola boarded a Lagos popular commercial bus, Molue, from Sango to Agege? Otedola shared the video of his ride with his followers on Wednesday.

The video, which generated 92,064 views within two hours, shows him sitting in the bus as a fellow passenger standing next to him, a female, advertises a product. He saunters down, Lagos style, when he gets to his destination. Kalu may have to follow suit and take a commercial bus in Aba to know how warmly he would be received by the people whom he was reported to have fleeced of their commonwealth for which he has been standing trial he has been struggling to exculpate himself from.

Primate Ayodele bags South Carolina Honorary Citizenship, empowers thousands at revival night

Popular man of God and founder/spiritual head at INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, has been honoured with an Honorary Citizenship of South Carolina.

Primate Ayodele, whose spiritual and humanitarian activities have continued to change lives across Nigeria and abroad, we learned, received the honour at a private ceremony following one of his pastoral campaigns recently.

The award of citizenship, according to a statement from the South Carolina authorities obtained by this medium, is a reward given based solely on Ayodele’s humanitarian services rendered via his divine mission.
Meanwhile, on Friday, June 8th, 2018, the foremost prophet of God hosted his ministry’s latest empowerment conference where 10,000 less privileged members of the public and church workers were empowered in various aspects.
It was a youth-focused revival/vigil for rehabilitation, empowerment, prayers, music ministration, lectures, counseling, healing and deliverance for the youths from various part of the country.
The focus of the all-night crusade-cum-empowerment programme tagged ‘Nigerian Youth, Our Future’, was the group of young men and ladies considered to be of little or no value to the society. They are mainly chronic smokers, drug addicts, drunks and others challenged in various forms, including young women in prostitution of which more than 30 have benefitted in the past.
According to Primate Ayodele, “this kind of programme is a further manifestation and demonstration of our concern and determination to continue impacting and rehabilitating the youths that are into drugs and hard substances abuse.”
At the programme which was organized by the INRI Youth Ministry in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), lives were restored as many met with their salvation at the crusade venue in Ilasamaja, Lagos. Characteristics of the servant of God, Primate Ayodele, most of the reformed persons were also empowered in their respective area of skills in order to be socially and financially stable while some were awarded scholarships to different levels of academic knowledge.
Lectures and sermons were given by a list of dignitaries and Ministers of God on such subjects as unsettled homes,
drugs & substances abuse, cultism, single parenting among various other social vices and challenges.
There were testimonies as the revival progressed, of some youth who after many years finally were able to sit for WAEC, JAMB and other promotional examinations. Some at the venue received micro-credit support for small scale businesses, while some benefitted from the skills acquisition programme in artisanship. There were also those that had slept under bridges and makeshift shelters who were blessed with decent accommodations.
Music ministration was offered by star Gospel singer, Evangelist Bunmi Akinnanu Adeoye a.k.a Omije Oju Mi; Dele Sax and INRI Music Ministry.
In the words of the servant of God, “it is my resolve through the grace of God that the glory of the Nigerian youth must shine under whatever socio-economic chalkenges and other unfavourable conditions they may find themselves.”

Apostle Johnson Suleman restores kid siblings who were blind from birth

Published

During His earthly mission, Jesus Christ performed spectacular miracles, to the admiration of His disciples and the people generally. And after His ascension, the Apostles continued in that fashion, so much that their shadows were said to have healed diverse ailments.

Back here in Nigeria, records have it that men of God in the likes of Apostle (Prof.) Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) worldwide, are walking in the steps of Christ as, on the regular basis, God through them raises the dead, heals lepers and lunatics, the lame, just as the blind had their vision restored. Meaning, therefore, that the ability and power to heal and perform outstanding miracles did not disappear with Jesus and the early apostles.

Thursday, 7th of June, 2018, was another moment of glory at the OFM, as two children of the same mother who were born blind had their sight restored by God through the servant of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman.

The moment was defining and amazing for when the miracles happened, it moved to tears not just most members of the congregation, junior ministers of God present also cried because the miracle was too obvious given that it involved kids, especially a seven-month old baby.

“There is someone here who has a child that’s three years old and is blind,” announced Apostle Suleman halfway into the Thursday service. “I hear David,” he added just as he said “and the person has another child that’s seven months old; that child is also blind. I hear Isaac.”

Just as the servant of God made the announcement, a woman was seeing struggling through the church audience with two kids. “These two kids are blind, it’s a curse,” Apostle Suleman stated as the woman made her way to the front. As the mother confirmed that both little David, eleven years old, and Isaac, seven months old are her kids, Apostle Suleman offered to bless both of them.

“Lift the eyes,” he ordered the mother, as he pressed on the eyeballs of Isaac and prayed. “See!”, he thundered. “Father, you are a miracle worker. This is a child. This is innocent. Open these eyes. Let the eyes open. Let the eyeballs move; let the eyes be clear! Now, not tomorrow, now! In the name of Jesus.” Tap the child, tap the child, tap the child, he said repeatedly as the Baby Isaac in steady progress opened his eyes. The wonder was greeted by thunderous applause from the congregation, followed by songs of praise.

The celestial act was repeated on the older child, David, although his case was spectacular because his eyes were sealed, without eyeballs!

“With the kind of anointing that is here, you can’t be deceived by the Devil that you will go back home the same, that you will not be healed,” Apostle Suleman assured his audience, and all he did afterwards was ask God through Jesus to open the eyes.

“I believe in my prayer. If you don’t believe in your prayer, demons cannot fear your prayer,” Suleman opined as little Master David regained his eyesight.
